2 bagels, sliced and toasted – 150g smoked salmon slices – 150g cream cheese
Fresh arugula leaves
Lemon zest, from 1 lemon
Salt and pepper, to taste
Red onion slices (optional)
Capers (optional)
Directions
- Spread a generous layer of cream cheese on each toasted bagel half.
- Lay a few slices of smoked salmon on top of the cream cheese.
- Sprinkle a pinch of lemon zest over the salmon.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Place a handful of fresh arugula leaves on top of the salmon.
- Optionally, add a few slices of red onion and a sprinkle of capers for extra flavor.
- Close the bagel with the other half.
- Serve the smoked salmon bagel immediately as a delicious breakfast, brunch, or lunch option.
