Ingredients

  • 2 slices of whole wheat bread, toasted – 2 ripe avocados

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 100g smoked salmon

  • Fresh dill, finely chopped

  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions

  • Halve the ripe avocados, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh into a bowl.
  • Add the lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the avocado and use a fork to mash and mix until it forms a creamy mixture.
  • Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
  • Generously spread the creamy avocado mixture onto the toasted slices of whole wheat bread.
  • Place thin slices of smoked salmon on top of the avocado spread.
  • Sprinkle finely chopped dill over the smoked salmon.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes if desired, for some extra heat.
